There are several different websites that have good last minute deals on theatre and musicals, especially lastminute.com.

It discusses 10 ways to get cheaper and discounted musical tickets, including offline ways on the day of the musical itself.

We are planning a trip there in June. We’re very interested in seeing the musicals Wicked and The Lord of the Rings. Also would like to see Equus. Should we book in advance? Wait until we are there and go to the box office or a ticket agency??

there is an office in front of marble arch,where you can get many tickets,of all sort of shows,theatral and cinemas ones…

Best place a short notice is to buy them on the day at the Ticket Booth in Leicester Square.

Will be visiting London in may and my wife and I wanted to see “Mama Mia” but we’re a bit stunned by the cost of tickets. Is there a discount or “last minute sale” site that has theatre tickets cheaper?

it’s been going for many years and is very reputable … however I see at the bottom of the page that they don’t normally have Mamma Mia tickets (probably because it’s so popular)

Go to the National Theatre for cancellations shortly before a show. It is risky and you’ll have to que but you end up with fab seats.
Lastminute.com also sell on unsold seats cheaply- from the comfort of your PC.
